Gorgeous blue-black color with no white markings. Awesome legs and feet! Large-boned and built solid. Charlie has a beautiful face with dark, expressive eyes with a small head and ears. Egyptian, Polish and Crabbet breeding. Imprinted and handled daily. Extremely smart, willing, bold. Walking, trotting and cantering under saddle and lungeing over small jumps. He is green, so needs experience rider to further his education. Very well suited as a Sport Horse—Hunter, Dressage, Western, etc. Charlie’s sire, Saud El Warsaw, is a Country English Pleasure, Show Hack and Halter Champion, including the 2000 Egyptian Event Country English Pleasure Champion in Kentucky. Saud has also won in many other regional and local shows. Charlie’s 11 year old dam, Brooksides Stormy—a Black Coffee granddaughter, has been used as a broodmare for the early part of her adult life, but has recently started a new career in Dressage with her new “mom” in Virginia. Stormy goes back more than once to the famous stallion *Leopard, who was owned by General Ulysses S. Grant before he became President of the United States! Before Charlie was gelded, he has produced 4 exceptional foals that I bred, with his first one, a black filly, owned by the Governor of Sonora Mexico, Eduardo Bours, who is recognized as the “World Leader of Tomorrow” by the World Economic Forum. Pretty cool!

It is with a breaking heart that I have to sell Charlie. His price reflects his worth as a good-minded, willing individual with lots of unexplored talent, not to mention his good looks and build. If he had more training, and was show-ready, his price would be double what I’m asking. He’s young and can go very far with the right partner at his side (or on his back).
